troglodites

anyone know how to get the I think they are call troglodites to go back into the water and stop coming onto the land? i had problems with this before but after an update it seemed to stop doing this. but i just upgraded my computer and downloaded ARK again and it is starting again. to help if i spelled the animals name wrong it is the water "bug" that bites you and put you to sleep. it is supper annoying to have these thing all over the beach when you start.

If you're on the Ragnarok map this is intentional, just move to another part of the beach.

I've never heard of these "trodglodytes," beyond the reference of an ugly humanoid race from Dungeons n' Dragons/Pathfinder...and the species name for the common chimpanzee Pan troglodytes.

Euryptids. They only spawn at viking bay, from the sunken ship. (Aside from deep ocean)

They are scary for sure, but people would have to intentionally lure it to land for it to appear.

Otherwise, as someone mentioned earlier, move to a different beach area. But if you are on single player or own a server, you can put a command line in the config file to get rid of them permanently.

you must be living at the end of viking bay, if you put a wall in the water i think that will block most of them moving into your base but there is a lot of them coded to spawn around the shipwreck there. Rick Grimes is correct that they are a great source of black pearls, but if you know how to adjust your ini you could easily replace eurypterids with harmless and equaly delicious with lemon sauce trilobites.
