Problems with Steamcmd and SDL priority manager
Hello community,

I started an update on our ark server and then I got this error message. Before that, the server was running without problems. It's about a Linux server Debian 9 with SSH access.

I restarted the server (root). Same message.
I reinstalled Steamcmd. Same message.
I have created a new user. Same message.
I then reinstalled Steamcmd. Same message.

I have now read through about 50 pages and find nothing about this error.

Maybe you can help me there. I would be really happy if someone could help me there.

I thank you in advance

The Stoffie

Same here!
Not just with Ark, same with Csgo, Cs1.6, CsCz, Rust at least ;)
It is a steam global problem..

You can ignore this error message. The update will still run without problems. If you have problems starting your server, look here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/346110/discussions/0/1751275687421356824/

The developers have once again forgotten the libsteam_api.so The problem currently affects all ark servers on linux. Just add the libsteam_api.so in ShooterGame/Binaries/Linux.
If you have any mods installed, you will need to disable them for now because even these are causing massive problems right now.

I'm also having the same trouble.
Is there any fix?
Hello ,
Idem Here :
Loading Steam API...Failed to init SDL priority manager: SDL not found
Failed to set thread priority: per-thread setup failed

ark.service: Start-pre operation timed out. Terminating.

So I can't launch my server and Genesis :(

I try to add the 'Linux' folder with *.so library etc but nothing change...

Please help

Thanks

This info may not be correct. From what I have read the correct location is <InstallLocation>/Engine/Binaries/Linux and not under the Engine folder in ShooterGame
Additionally this fix does not make sense. The problem appears to be with the steam downloader steamcmd and not the downloaded content.
I still get "SDL not found'. The update appears to succeed.

This worked. I used a symlink.
