????????????????????????????????
More relaxed than I've been in my life. What's the solution?
Start of by doing the following:
Go to the steam help menu, click system information, and copy paste all that information here.
Seeing what -Steam- is detecting for your rig and any discrepancies is important.
Once we get that info we can look into other variables.
It's not my hardware. 1080TI on on a nice platform. The problem is that maps don't seem to be detected or even install.
The System Information screen tells far more than hardware........post it up if you want help.

Or just 1920x1080?
Do you have a GPU OC program installed like MSI Afterburner?
Steam library -> right click Ark -> properties -> DLC tab -> select the map you want to play
There have been some issues recently with installing DLC maps via the store, not quite sure what the solution for those people was. Sometimes you have to repeat the process, and clear the download cache etc to make the popup go away.
Also your 1 driver version behind ;-)
You are one update behind on your driver. This can be one contributing factor but probably not the root for your issue.
2. Free up some hard drive space. Ark is a big game and more maps means the game requires more space. Worse steam requires even more space to be detected in order to process the download and installation. Again may not be a major contributing factor but can help smooth the download process.
3. What specific map(s) are you attempting to download? Specify by name.
If you do not own the dlc for that map(ie have not paid for it) you cannot download it. If it is a free dlc make sure you are attempting to download from the correct page location.
Where's the cache at? The gfx driver is 0% of the equation ^^
Steam -> Settings -> Dowloads -> Clear Download Cache
Not sure anymore where the maps where installed inside the Ark folder, but manually deleting those files can sometimes also help.
Reverifying files over and over atm is also a valid option to try.
Update it.
You can't access DLCs on family share accounts, etc. The actual owner of the game would need to log in to Steam on that PC and perform the download(s) for you, then you could play with the DLCs (the free ones anyway).
