Metal Water Platform: Is it possible to build under it?
Been trying everything I can think of to build underneath the Ocean Platform but it simply refuses to let me do anything with it. Is there a trick I don't know?

even with S+ ?
I'm Wondering if you can use Tek Moonpools to maybe build up from underneath and kinda Pseudo Connect them all

Nope nope nope. Basically you can build on and build a few foundations down from the top on the inside, but building outside etc you cannot.

If you build from the bottom or outside and then connect to the platform, also be aware -any- connecting structures on the newly made "outside" will trigger the red building error and thus you cannot build more. So if you plan to build, make your connecting to the platform last.

One other interesting exception seems to be cliff platforms. I have built in the ocean biome a metal plaform close up to land and supplemented cliff platforms around the edges of the land clipping slightly the metal platform without issue but I dont know if this works on official or not but I dont see why not.

Ya I'm starting to see these things were not well designed by WC. For one you can attach pillars to the Sides of the Platfrom but only on 2 sides of it! You also cant try to seal the Center with Hatchframes because then the Ladders glitch and wont let you climb them fully and then you get stuck inside the Hatchframe!!!
Update: Managed to cheese a Ladder system into the Hatchframe by using Portable Rope Ladders. You gotta fill in half the Hatchframe with Ceilings to place it down and climb thru but it works just remove the Ceilings after you place the Ladder
