Noob question about Tek Cave and Bosses.
I saw that killing bosses like the Broodmother, Megapithecus and Dragon unlocks the cool tek stuff , but apparently killing those Bosses can also give you access to the Tek Cave.

What's the point of the Tek Cave though ? Does it unlock anything new or is it just for the feeling of challenge and pat on the back that you "beat the game" ? :D

You get more levels. 5 for each difficulty. If you alpha, you get all 15 levels.

Tek Cave is not 'beating the game'. You have a long way to go after that cave. Once you beat the Overseer, you Ascend, which is the first real step on your Ark journey. You gain the ability to level up 15 more times after defeating the Alpha Tek Cave. Then you move onto Aberration to defeat Alpha Rockwell, learn new Tekgrams and Ascend giving 15 more levels. Then off to Extinction and beat the King Titan and Ascend further, no new levels. The King Titan is basically beating the game with that character in the Ark scenarios. Then off to Genesis to defeat the Alpha Master Controller which gives more Tekgrams and 15 more levels, a new story and a new yet old character. Meaning, you play it with your 3 time Ascended character to maximize the map experience.

Each Ascension changes the arm implant design and allows for more leveling. Chibis also allow for more leveling.

I don't get why you would need more leveling though.

The only thing that sounds interesting is the Alpha Master Controller, for the extra Tek Grams.

Other than that, it seems like it's just for fun. Which is fine, I just wanted to clarify, that that's what it is, or am I missing something ?

Alpha Rockwell also has really useful and cool Tekgrams like Tek sleeping pod.... More levels= more engram points= less mindwipes. More levels = stronger faster character. There is lore to the game also, so you are following the lore progressing. But, it is open world sand box, so, you can do whatever you want. Some people have 1000s of hours and never experience the challenge of Ascension Boss fights. They remain at a lowly level 105 instead of level 135, 140, or now 155...

Although I agree , for me that I play with my stats multiplied x3, and with tons of engram points unused, it already feels like nothing can kill me, but I do see your point, plus the fact that you do get extra tekgrams from this is cool

TEK cave / overseer fight is one of the coolest looking boss arenas imo, over the before named benefits

But when you ascend you get a new implantat, can you ascend all 3 levels:Gamma, beta and alpha in the same world/server with the same survivor or can you only ascend once?

Yes. If you skip gamma and beta and just do Alpha you get 15 levels, 5 per difficulty.

You can even do Gamma then Beta and then Alpha if you want to see what the difficulty curve is.
Bit more hassle, but personally i did all fights in on the island, simply because i wasn't sure what to expect for the Alpha fights on a solo server.

That means I can first to Gamma then beta and then alpha, but then I have 3 different implantats, or am I just gonna get the best out of the 3?

Your implant upgrades as you ascend, so you have just the one and that will keep on changing (update might be a better word in this case) depending on what difficulty you take on.

Your implant just updates. If you hover your mouse on it, it shows all of the bosses you killed and what bonus levels you get from them if applicable. Some boss kills change how the implant looks in your inventory as well.

Last I saw it only shows the highest difficulty boss kill you've achieved. So you won't have like gamma dragon, beta dragon, and alpha dragon listed, it will only show alpha dragon.
