Tek armour on Abberation
Hey,

Reading on the wiki it says Tek Armour had a stealth update last year that enables them to protect against Radiation and Spores on abberation.

However after making a new cluster server and changing the map on Scorched earth to Abb, I have a full set of tek on and charged with element but when I run through mushrooms I still get the effect and mass loss of health. Haven't tested with Radation due to this.

Am I missing something here? Is there an .ini file setting I need to add or change or should this work as standard?

last i played on Abberation ( a few weeks ago) the full set of tek armor did protect from spores and radiation however just like the rad suit it takes 1 damage every few seconds from radiation..

And in addition when in radiation areas, unlike with a rad suit, you get the anoying radiation sounds (just tested this on the most recent server version to be sure).

That being said, are you useing any mod that change or add tek stuff to the game ?
It might be, that a mod is causing the armor to not have the same abilities as the vanilla version would.

I think this might be the case. We use the upgrade station to increase stats on the armour, however I tested both the modded armour and the non atlered armour (just made in replicator) and both resulted in the spores affecting me.

I understand about the geiger counter sound still be there. Everything I have read suggests the armour should work but with the spores taking me to half health I dare not test the radiation lol.

not sure how the upgrade mod works but some mods replace vanilla items with the modded ones that are able to be altered in ways they were never designed and therefor may have had oversights by the mod author.. it could be the case that vanilla tek armour has been replaced entirely with modded armour so that its stats can be altered and the protection features offered by vanilla armour were left out. idk just a thought. i guess to test that you would have to make a set of armour with the mod installed then uninstall and see if the armour remains. if not then it's likely the vanilla armour was replaced and it's abilities might be different from that of vanilla armour due to an oversight or modders choice to have it that way

Tbh, i would just forget about it entirely, as the OP stated he is using the upgrade station. It would be "easy" to get a rad suit so OP, it will most likely never break and not cost element to keep charged :)

Aye downside is missing the superman flying tek and running haha But its not a big deal, already making an OP hazard suit BP lol

It's more likely an oversight, likely the upgrade station changes to tek armour were made in the dev kit before the stealth patch for abberation.
