Best way to earn hexagons solo?

Since they removed dodo basketball thingy, what other options are for solo players?

Why are you trying to farm hexagons? Not to dissuade you, just asking. It seems much easier to farm most mats the normal way than to get hexagons, and in my experience the loot crates were kinda poor.
The gamma bog beetdown gives a thousand or so hexagons I think, and is pretty easy to do solo,. It also gives you some consumables, some gear (primitive quality, but not engram tier, think 110% sort of gear,) one of which is usually a tek helmet, so I have quite a few tek helmets just lieing around now... At least I'll never need to repair one lol

If you have a decent Mosa army then the Moeder mission on alpha. I ran it 4 times in about 30 minutes and got a ton of loot and around 150,000 hexagons.

With a Spino I can easily do Just a Hop, Skip, and a Jump Away Beta. It gives 10.8k hexagons and take 5-10 min.(didn't look at how long it actually take but it is pretty quick)

Yes, gamma gives a massive damage boost (I think I go from ~600 damage to ~3.5k damage). You can do this to get some xp on the dino.
On Beta you do default damage.
On Alpha I think damage goes from ~600 to ~90. Alpha feels very risky and hard to do so I am waiting with trying it for real until I have some good bred and mate boosted tames.

So Gamma is doable on almost any dino to give it xp.
Beta needs a decent dino, I think Rex is basically same strength as Spino. Both should have good reach which is really good for this mission to make sure you don't take much damage.

On Beta I think my 18k hp spino loses max ~2k health.
