Ferox Bug

Here is the thing. I cant feed ferox on non dedicated (playing with a friend). Point is he can feed ferox after its tamed, or just tame it normally with element, but i cant. Not his, not wild, not "do tame"-ed ferox is impossible for me to feed. Cutting the future questions - i know about last slot and i tryed everything. In every slot, every quantity etc. Its just not eating from my hands ever. Also we do use stacking mod HG, and it maked our tek skiff not working, but after we downloaded Hg remap 1.5 skiff started working perfectly so i assume its not really about that since element is vanilla for us now. Besides, he CAN feed ferox at any time (wild or tamed), and i cant. I am the host. Any ideas?

my guess (as every time) is that becuase genesis is so new, mods havent updated yet and cause "glitche/bug", todya alone there have been 3 minor update to the game, i wouldnt recommend playing genesis modded for a while tbh ... your problem is bound to occur many time until a more "stable" version of the game come

Yes, this is actually a bug with Non-Dedicated mode.

I already reported it and made a post about it. Hopefully WildCard cares enough to see what the issue is.

So its not like mod or smth? Because only problems with the mods we had is tek skiff not being refuelable (fixed by mod that makes element vanilla) and ferox. Yet yeah, like you said, its so strange because he can feed it and i cant. So it should be not about mods eitherway it would be bugged for us both...

Is it a single piece of element? Can't have it in a stack.

Yes it is. We tryed (i tryed, he can do it any way, single or not) both ways and in any slot. Nothing.

same problem here, even without installing any stacking mod, the Element icon in slot just turned grey and not able to use it. Would like to know if there is any solution, thanks.

Yea, as with me. Didnt found i way to fix it yet, i guess its a bug and we have to wait for WC to fix it since no mods cause it but the game itself ...Worth all the delays fo "fix" dlc ha-ha.

I am having the exact same problem, also I can't climb with it. It will teleport back to a previous wall and when I try to climb up, it will jump in place. Hopefully gets fixed because this is my new favorite creature.

ooh ok its not just my game and im also glad to see the discussion startet at 29th februar, i never buy an dlc from this damn game studio, they don´t fix bugs and known issues for years, i really regret to have buyd this dlc, i spent 2 whole days to prepare with a friend on my not ded server to get this little sucka, and now he just works for my friend. i hate wildcard game studios, and i never buy anything with that brand on it

so i guess they didn't fix this since you just posted that you have this issue also... NOICE.

simply just having it in th 0 slot you acually need to press 0 or in the 1 slot to feed worked for me atleast

Bro, this thread is almost year old, and no, this is a bug with non-dedicated session, everyone know about it by now. The host cannot feed or tame ferox, Wildcard know about that too but they don't care and its been almost year now.

I know this ferox feeding/taming thing is kinda old news but I wanted to post somewhere and so I hope this is the right place.

I had the same issue both hosting a non-dedicated game and in single player. Couldn't feed the ferox despite having the element in my action bar. I tried it in every slot, pressing both the number key for the slot and E. The element was grayed out and nothing worked. Even tried logging out and back in again several times. Then I had the idea to crouch to be as close to the little guys as possible, then with element in my number 1 slot, I tried and it worked. Little guy was fed, he grew, the taming bar started moving. Not saying this will work for everyone, but its definitely worth a shot. It worked for me and I now have tamed a male and female and they are leveling just fine. Both were level 100 feral and leveled to 150 tamed. So try element in slot 1, crouch right in front of the little guy and then press the 1 key when he gives you the big doe eyes :)
