Genesis Part 1 Insect Swarm

Can someone help me with these annoying insect swarms? I'd like to remove them from my server, but its not working, the game is'nt any fun with them. Thanks For Your Help

Sadly i know no working way to remove them, i tried the npc replacement code and that worked for a very short period of time, but now also seems broken.

There are legit over spawning issues with the swarms, if you are having that happen, the only option is to report it on Ark official website.

1. Keep couple of torches in inventory. They getting broken in a dozen of hits.
2. Use 3rd person view and smash swarm.
3. Done.

Same, i tried everything, but insect swarms are the only dinos which cant get removed

For myself, I started killing them with torches (keep 2 in your quick menu and stack resources for repair, so you can use one while the other one is repairing), but you have to be in 3th person for hitting them (glitch?). After some time, you'll get a break. Submerge in water for emergencies (aggro stop). Eat white berries for stamina, cause hitting them while exhaust deplete your life. Find a nice spot (bog) near a teleport point and teleport to beach for primal resources (so you don't have to move a lot in the bog) then come back to your spot. (There's a nice spot on higher grounds with tons of metal behind the West bog teleportation. Survive and build till you can tame a dino. I tamed 2 x-raptors and since then, Insect swarms are a joke, annoying but easy. Mount your dino (raptors work for me) and the swarm will stop aggro. Wait like 2 to 5 min and they will automatically die and your good for a break. Take this time for levelling up or managing inventories ;) Watch out, put your dinos on "passive" if you don't want to loose them while they are chasing something. But yeah, ride a dino and WAIT, don't attack :P Later, a frog could be useful too. Good luck. But don't worry had a hard time, but now I feel safe in the bog.

Any Dino with good AoE and high damage works.

I tried to edit the files to just pop those damn bug's from existence to never spawn in ever again....but for some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason they are just REFUSING to listen to that rule and are going against that rule

This. Torches (and apparently incendiary weapons in general) do massive damage to them, and can kill them after about 10 or so seconds of burning. Their hitbox, however, only appears to work in 3rd person view for some reason. If removing them isn’t an option (which seems to be the case for now) then you at least have an easy solution.
Besides, they’re just annoying. Basically just easy-to-kill stamina sappers meant to distract you from other stuff while on foot. Don’t even do a lot of actual damage to you.

That's annoying... I tried using bug repellant and full ghillie and they still spawn in the normal waves. If you're not targeted, it targets dinos.
