genesis chitin farming spots

has anyone managed to find a chitin cave or a decent way to farm it at the moment im just farming the big boy turtles.

Lava biome, the big Volcano has a large cave, many scorpions and arthros, plus a lot of other stuff. You can find black pearls down there also. It is about half way or more up the volcano. Dangerous place but a high level wild tamed Megatherium will get you a lot of chitin quickly. If the volcano is about to erupt, or you get low on health, teleport out. Good idea to find the cave on foot first, path up to cave is tough, Basilisks and more.

thanks iv been there but not gone in too far due to all the flamey guys but ill have a proper look inside later

Frog + bog = many ants = paste = chitin
Can be a tricky becuase of all the other dino's in it though :P

the volcano includes magmasaurs which makes it super difficult even if mounted you still get burned from magma shots

Always good to look out for the bright purple rocks that are around the entrances to the cave system.

I actually get way more from a Frog in the volcanic biome. Just roaming around map, there are so many oil jug and water bugs I get tons of Chitin/Cementing paste. Also, throw in scorpions you get a ton in one trip.

The frog is so mobile I never have issues evading or escaping areas also

bring a megatherium into the volcano cave

yeah megalochelen gives around 100 shell frags. in a grinder 1 shel frag = 50 chitin. Therefore 1 turtle = 5k chitin.

did this on gamma . i was on a spino got 1.2k , buddie was on a mega got 12k :( . so yea
