I am also considering making polymer by farming chitin. Now that the lava biome is more feasible and the bog less dangerous in the later game chitin flows more freely. The bloodstalker is also pretty good for cruising underwater to harvest trilobytes and sea-scorps. Thew spider vision makes them ultra easy to spot and kill. munching turtles, tusos and dunkleosteus in ocean biome for chitin/keratin.
Harvest stone with magmasaur.

Arctic 68/20 at Ice Lake and also at a little icy cul-de-sac about 30 feet above the lake itself. There were otters up in there too and nothing there that wanted to rip my face off, lol. Kairuku are tiny though, so it's easy to miss them. I couldn't see them the first few times I went there.
organic poly is too rare tbh.
