Fly cheat suddenly too fast

I only play single player and I have been doing so for years. Suddenly after the last update (a few days ago) when I enter fly mode my character races way ahead of me and the flying speed is increased so much that I fly clear across the map in a second or two. I used to be able to control my flying speed with the slomo command but now slomo anything but 1 just flies me at incredible speed. One other thing, after the last update when I started Ark my default map had changed back to the Island which I haven't played in many months. Have I done something wrong and if so how do I fix it,

Yeah me too, it was way too slow before now, if you want it slower, you could always use the slomo command to make things slower instead of faster, so make it actually slomo.

I don't understand... you guys think it's better to only fly in extremely short bursts or you'll fly right into the map boundaries, then being able to control your fly speed?

I was accustomed to using fly and slomo 5 to fly over the map in search of things. I agree that flying at normal speed was pretty much like walking but I even did that at times just to fly through the forests taking in the view. Making fly go at such a high speed greatly limits its usefulness in my book. To each his own.

Anyway... I found a solution that while not optimal, it works very much like the old fly cheat worked. I now use ghost instead of fly. Ghost still moves you around at a nice leisurely pace and the slomo command speeds it up for when you want to go faster.

I found a hotkey once that changed speed, like in space games where speed scale matters. Never could recall which key.

Tried it as well, nothing. Mouse wheel did nothing either.
