Small Advice about starting new on Genesis

You might want to use Helena and port to the SE of the Ozean Biome, it is a Paradise.
A small problem it's without water access ;-)
but you can drink up on the East Portlocation there is a ramp going down to the water.

Going over there was a blast for me after getting sour about this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ugly heap of ♥♥♥♥ called the bog

You can't. No building allowed on islands which you can teleport to.

Well on unofficial servers you can build there since patch .53
edit: guess same goes for the SP then.

Honestly, starting on any ocean spot is advisable because even if you can't build there, it's an incredibly safe spot to get hide armor, bolas, a bow, spears, and waterskins before you enter the bog or snow area where you can actually build. The only enemy I encountered there was a single pego, and even if you do fall off, they seem to have massively increased player movement speed in water, so you can get back pretty easily.
Now if only there was a setting to make teleports faster... I'd really like to just port around like a madman.
And now that we can build there, I'm going there asap
