Single player settings reset..??Help??

It seems like my single player settings have been set back to default after Genesis release... when I go into my game files, my .ark files from the last time I played is still there.. is there a way I can restore it to my previous settings? I haven't tried to actually load the game past the initial screen because I'm scared all my dinos and stuff will be gone. My mods aren't there either. I am not too savvy with computers, so if anyone is willing to give me some step-by-step guidance, that'd be amazing!

If you did not keep a backup of your .ini files ... then no... they have been overwritten and you need to re-add your mods and settings.....

Then back them up for the future.

Wildcard don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about your settings or how long it took you to tune them. There is no way to get them back without having saved a copy of them before installing the update which very few of us probably did. I am glad I did and knew this was coming because I would probably have zeroed my drive using a boot and concrete. Now I just need to figure out why my server won't start 1 mod at a time.

I did save a backup.. it was back in November... except that was before I started using S+... which means all my S+ structures will be gone, I'm guessing.. darn..

Which means ALL your stuff because you would have used an S+ Vault right? :D

Almost all... I kind of mixed it up.. using vanilla structures and S+... I built my main building with vanilla.. then I finally converted them slowly to S+ because I finally decided to trust it... now I'm scared... I don't mind having to reset my difficulty, harvest rates, etc, by myself.. i'm just scared of what will happen even after I re-add the S+ mod. My dinos will still be there right...?

Dinos will still be there if they weren't in an S+ container. And yeah I'm on that boat with you now, transferring all my stuff into vanilla containers soon as I can. The mod is permanently out of commission so we better not risk it anymore.

Now that you mention that.. ya.. some of them were in cryopods that I temporarily placed in the S+ converter... damn.

As long as you put S+ back in your active mods before you run your world again you won't lose anything.

It worked! My backup settings aren't quite the way they were but my S+ structures are back at least. Thanks!
