Mod Loading Takes Too Long
Hi. I play on an awesome server with 61 mods, it used to take me about 3-4 minutes to load in, but now it takes me 10 sometimes. No new mods have been added, no large updates have happened with any of the mods. I have an SSD, and play on a plugged in laptop.

well..... that amount of mods would take a long time to load.... 61 mods is a bit ridiculous if you ask me

If the SSD is nearly full things like that can happen.

and you could exclude the ARK Directory from your AV Scanning.

You are not supposed to play with 61 mods. Its wonder that the server even functions. ARK has trouble working as it is as vanilla.

Your end has nothing to do with it, the servers cant just handle loading mods at maximum speeds. Remember back in the days you got timed out if it took too long, even having few mods was able to cause it.

Wait what?
It's the servers fault that his client takes more time to load the mods then before?

No loading issues for me but first time connecting to a community server I had way too many timeouts as I was DL and installing all the mods.

Might be why Official servers have far more players than unofficial. Seems strange to to see Steam saying 55k players in game and then seeing a list with about 20 servers with 10-40 people on and the rest dead.

I'm not sure what list you looking at, but Battlemetric show's a different picture.

61 mods is insane.
I’m surprised it even runs, and bet there are a tone of incompatibilities...
I have 23 mods, loaded onto a 2700x w/32gb (they are larger mods)
Everyone on ssds, and it’s between 5-7 min to load in.
Anyone not running an ssd is looking at 30+ min easy to log into a server like that.
Anything could have changed, but that is so far past normal that unusual behaviour has to be expected.

What the hell are you running ? Cause that just seems like way too much, if you don’t have dedicated hardware I have no doubt it’s also affecting performance.

without SSD, a server with 25mods, takes 3-5min to start, a server with 61 mods, probably if there is like 10 HUGE MODS and 50 "lowtier" mods, probably will take 20 min without SSD
