the need of milk depends on their actual foodlevel.
Wanting care means it's time to imprint.

it needs milk while it's a baby. it wanting care could mean hand feeding, cuddles, walks etc. not caring for them in whatever way they desire will halt the imprint process unless you use the S+ nanny. in which case you can just put the milk in it's inventory and forget about it till it's grown

but how do u know when u gotat feede it ? cuz if care is other stuff i have no idea xD

Put milk in the inventory. It will eat when it's hungry as long as it's in the inventory. (it spoils kind of fast) so make sure to keep in there.

Well sence he got out from teh egg hes still at 1600 food, its not going down at all.. we have food off on our priv server cuz ppl have jobs etc, cant play everyday, do that effect the baby aswel?

i think babys and adults have different setting, ye ?

just check his foodlevel after birth, note the number. One Milk gives 1200 Foodpoints.

edit: usually a food level of 1600 means i would survive the Baby Stage without Milk and would feed from a nearby trough as juvenile.
But if you switched the food consumption off, it might not need food at all.

When food stat reaches zero, it starts using health. When health reaches zero, it dies.

So in regards to food, dont let it starve to death, but also dont over feed it. Its food stat slowly goes up as it grows older so if you over feed it, its a waste.

Also, dont put the milk in a trough for it to eat, it will use it all too fast and it will be as if its been over fed as mentioned above. If you've an infinite supply of milk thats fine but otherwise you dont want to waste.

So look at the maturing % and about how long it takes to go up .1 and in ratio to the decreasing food number and thus plan your feedings accordingly.

"Care in 8 hours" is unrelated to your keeping the baby from starving. Care is the imprinting system(giving you bonuses to stats). In 8 hours, your baby will want to randomly do one of the following things:

1. Take a short walk with you(put on follow and walk it until you get % of imprint bonus).
2. Cuddle(press e to "hug" it).
3. A special food(milk, kibble, etc semi random)

etc.

Each time you complete a care task, you get a % value of imprinting(and thus bonus stats to the dino). Failure to do this can result in loss of previous % imprinting to the point of going to zero respectively too.

So all in all you need to feed your dino at semi regular intervals to keep it from starving and plan out your care needs for imprinting accordingly.

Good luck.

8 hours on screen is a time for you to imprints them not feeding them, its depend on what your wyverns want, like cuddle, walk, or milk

but as someone who raise 3 wyverns without milk on official server all i can say is milk isnt necessary to raise wyverns anymore, its better to use Daeodon + Cryopod trick,

but if you really want to raise with milk and without cryopod you can calculate the time on the food deplete..

baby wyvern depleting food 1 every 10 seconds, and wyvern milk give 1200 food each, so if your baby have 1200 food stats at that time, it will survive for about 3 hours without milk

If you cant stay in the game very long you can always speed up maturation etc. And wait those 8 hours to do imprint , its REALLY worth it.

yea at 100% imprint mean's it will have some buff's to it's stat's making them deal more damage and are able to tank more damage

a baby creature having a low food level is normal as it's max food it can have at the time will slowly increase as it mature's, and just saying that the Rock Drakes on Aberration....yea they are just as picky as Wyvern's are (plus just like Wyvern's you gotta steal an egg...which is easier said then done)

Do you play on a Multiplayer-Server or alone? (Singleplayer) If you play solo on your own, then you should play with the advanced settings before your next game. You can speed up the maturing process and also the imprinting-process. (See, that you don't set maturing too fast, or you won't get the opportunity to imprint at all...) The imprint-% varies with the time-setting. The more often you must imprint (the less time it takes for the next imprint) the lower is the %-gain.

For a solo-Game with singleplayer-settings on, even 0.1 timeframes matter for the imprint-process.

You must find a balance for the imprint-settings and the maturing setting. And this is different for every dino. (I think wyverns are one of the slowest to grow up.) Just play with the setting, it's very worth it.

If you don't play Singleplayer, however, forget what I just wrote. (The admins did manage that, then.)
