Anky auto harvest?

I use my argen to pick it up and I take it near metal rocks but it doesn't auto-harvest it? I've tried with wandering on and off but there is no difference.. Is there any other setting I should be aware of? Or is this a bug that I have to do something to fix?

Not possible without mods. Some dinos just can't do it.

The doedicurus auto harvests. Don't think the anky ever has. There might be a mod out there for it

It was auto harvesting when I first tamed it (Yesterday). And I've done it in the past. There has been no change to server settings too.

Nope sorry you are mistaken. The Ankylo did at one point in time auto harvest metal but it was removed because they though it was too easy for PvP. I say just mod it in if you're unofficial anyway.

"Kraken's Better Dinos" mod modifies the Anky back to auto-harvesting. Just fyi.
As a solo player, its a major time saver having it auto-harvest

Anky never had a auto harvest option, there are\where several attempts to ask WC for this feature, but they never considered it so far sadly.

You should still be able to find requests for it on the official website that you can upvote hoping they eventually add it.

Better Dinos will give you the option. The private server I am playing on has that mod and i was delighted when I realized the anky could auto collect. So much easier.

There is also a mod called solo farm anky that does it lol. I like better dinos but it adds in a lot of other things so make sure to look into it before choosing a mod.

The Anky does auto harvest. Its how I gathered all my metal on official lost island pvp. Dont let these chumps fool you.

As of 18th January 2023 Xbox single player. Anky does auto harvest metal nodes with out any use of mods. Stops harvesting with 50% of its own weight. I had to get pretty close to the nodes for him to initiate the harvest. Then dump into argy and rinse and repeat.
