Ban someone that is offline
So found the "cheat list players" option.... but I want to ban someone that is offline and I only know their ingame name.

How hard can it be, I thought... boy...

Anyone know how to find someone's steamid?

You using ASM or have a battlemetrics acc? Or some form of rcon... can pull their steam id from rcon

I know many servers have Discord membership as a must have with steam acc linked.

So no way to do it ingame?

No ASM, running on gportal, not sure that is even possible. Can check battlemetrics

No way in game without them being online.

No way in battlemetrics.com without having an rcon account with them.

I mean.... if you dont have too many players you could narrow it down in the save folder via the player profile ids

Just check battlemetrics, can't say I see any IDs, so I need a paid account?

I have a few hundred arkprofile files... so :(

1500 updates for meshing, but can't even ban a player in this game.

That is why i always had an rcon acc. With battlemetrics.com its pretty cheap..... but does give you a web ui you can use remotely to kick, ban players and allows you to see players history and their steam profile.

If you have access to the files via FTP download them to your local disk and search the contents for the player name.

But yeh as per the above rcon is a cleaner solution

I have access, but with hundreds of players, I would need to spend a good part of a day to find it and then be able to link it.

It is completely absurd that this is even a thing, in my opinion. How crazy is it to need to ban someone in a multi-player game. I've long given up on WC that they give a damn about their players.

Windows literally has built in search capabilities ;-)

Are you new to gaming? Little ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cheating in games is as old as gaming.

How is WC related to a cheater on a private server?
Jimbodiah Feb 6, 2020 @ 12:39pm
I don't think you get what I am saying. The cheater is not the issue, the fact that I can not ban him unless he is online and waits for me to write down his number is.

This is only your own ignorance though. You can ban him if only you were to follow what we suggested above ;-)

The tools, such as rcon, are fully available to you
