Grappling hook 1 use only?
As the title says. Wondering if thats how it is? I hope not. A metal object disappearing and not getting worse with time seems dumb. Hope im wrong.

Thanks.

That's right, single use only, but they are cheap to make...

Countless mods that make it reusable if it bothers you.

Well, I didn't know that, but it never bothered me anyway :)

I think the mod is called Lethal's Reusables. Great mod btw!

Not cheap to make when you dont have the materials. :) BTW im not the crying type of person (no soy around here). Just wanted to know. It is stupid though since some things work more realistically and some things weirdly gamey.

Thanks.

BTW another question (too much noob) but im trying to make a dye and i have checked online where it says "food (berries etc) + waterskin (or any other water jar) + fuel (for fire) in the cooking pot". I have burned through 10 logs of fire and nothing happens? I am using a water skin and tried with 30 black narc berries.

Is it wrong?

The recipe for black dye needs 2 charcoal as well.

For recipes not needing charcoal... Use thatch for the fire.

Guys... I moved out a little further from my starting camp with 3 of my pets (2 turtles and a trike) and i didnt get far before an obstacle that i dont know how i ever will deal with. Its one of those fudging massive ones that look like a crocodile and a dinosaur with a massive center fin on the back... Its super fast and its huge. This is at the STARTING area, lol. :steamhappy: I am so dead (and so are my pets).

Spino... You're not in a starting area then lol. Don't move into swamps, or inland until you are stronger.
Lordbufu Feb 4, 2020 @ 2:42am
Spino's can spawn in almost every river (or other small water body) on the island map, they are "rare" but do appear there not just the swamp.

There agro range is short though, but they also very mad at everything that moves, so its sometimes hard to avoid them despite the small agro range.

Yes! Its a spino... And its HUGE. I started in the south (easy) and i built my camp RIGHT THERE where i spawned. I went over the river (small one) and moved along the beach for a few minutes at walking speed. There i saw it terrorizing animals, and i thought "hmm i'll be safe moving through the water he he he". Right... Before i went into the water it ran into the water and chased something, and the swimming speed of that thing.............!

Im so dead... :lunar2019piginablanket:

Are the other maps cooler? I picked the Island map as i remember from when i tested Ark some years ago. Maybe newer maps are cooler? I thought Island is also the biggest? Thought maybe the others were smaller maps added afterwards while the original map is THE map, so to speak.
