Unable to change Data Directory in ASM
I just moved both the ARK Server Manager folder and the Ark Server folders to my SSD. im having some issue when trying to change the directory to point towards the file location on the SSD. it states "There was an error changing the data directory: could not find a part of the path 'D:\Ark Server Manager\Ark stores\SteamCMD". i have double check and the folder is present. if anyone could assist as i want to make sure my server is still there.

Thank in advance

That's a question best asked on ASM forums. You should also try googling the error msg.

Many programs you can't simply shift around like that. It looks like asm doesn't think you have steamcmd installed.

Quick and easy way would just be to use a folder junction between the old and new locations. Kinda like a short cut.

Data is in X folder but system and software thinks it's in Y folder.

It's definitely doable as i did the exact same thing with my ASM servers a while back, can't remember the exact steps i used to fix it though

The servers perhaps, but I was thinking asm itself.

i ended up figuring it out in the end but some of the mods didn't load properly when turning the server back on so all the S+ stuff despawned. thanks for the help guys

Fix the loading issue and restore from backup. You'll be right as rain then.
