[Windows 10 Ark] How to edit NON-DEDICATED .ini files?
I'm playing on a singleplayer/LAN world with my sister on the windows/microsoft version of the game and we're trying to figure out how to raise the max level for dinos above 150. We already have max difficulty on and everything, so everything is already as high as it can go without the bypass method.

The issue stems from not being able to find the "saved" file in the ShooterGame folder, from what I understand, you need to access this to get to the game settings and add the line necessary to bypass the max difficulty manually, but if the file just isnt there what do we do?

I already gave myself all the permissions to access the WindowsApps folder, this is the only issue I'm having now.

I'm aware that I'm posting this on steam but from what I can tell the windows board for ark isnt exactly helpful, so I'm putting my faith here.

Again, to be clear, this is a singleplayer/LAN world- NOT an online dedicated server. The only thing we want to edit is the max level dinos can spawn at.

as far as im aware you cant get the dinos to spawn at over lvl 150 regardless of what you do without using commands to span them in at stupidly high lvls

since i do not own the Mircosoft Version everything is theoretical now.

Inside the Folder were ARK is installed there should be the following directory structure:
ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

Inside that Directory is a File called GameUserSettings.ini
you want to open the GameUserSettings.ini in the Notepad and look for the Line:
[ServerSettings]

below that Line you enter the following line (but take look if they already exists first):
OverrideOfficialDifficulty=5.000000

That Line would enable Spawning of Dinos up to Level 150, so if you want max Level 180 you would change it to =6.0 (Every increase of 1 add's 30 Level, the rest is just math)

edit: ofc you need to wipe all wild dinos after that to get a respawn with chances of higher level Dinos

Unfortunately I already know that that should be the directory, however, there is no "Saved" file in the shootergame folder.

Since it's the UWP console version most on this forum won't know much. I'd suggest posting in the console section of the main ark forum.

Though since it's the console version it simple might not have that many configurable options.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Follow the advice from Gran above but the location for the windows store version is different than steam. It's this

C:\Users\*user*\AppData\Local\Packages\StudioWildcard.4558480580BB9_1w2mm55455e38\LocalState\Saved\UWPConfig\UWP
