Yeah gotta kind read the entire thread...
I did, it is just missing the very interesting part where and how exactly you where able to turn Metal into Element Dust.
The last post said I was wrong about turning metal into element, it turned metal into dust. The implication being, everywhere it said element above, should have been dust. I am looking for the crafting station that turned raw metal into dust and it looked like what is now the Drone Terminal since I huess I need to explain it again.
Again:
There never has been a work station of S+ that has converted -metal- in any shape or form into element or element dust. You are confusing things with either another mod or just having a false memory concerning this whole thing. Truly all the evidence is becoming compelling that you're suffering from the Mandela Effect with this. :P
Since the last debacle with the stat leveling i want say never, ever again. I hated raising that hand. But i can't recall either that their was such functionality within S+.
You are correct. It was something inside Primal Fear itself. It is called the Extinction Bench or Primal Extinction Bench. It made it possible to get large amounts of element on non-extinction maps because element is very necessary to the overall game and specifically important to the endgame in Primal Fear. One thing this bench does is makes it possible to make element DUST from raw, unsmelted metal ore. Then you would choose your preferred crafting station to change the dust into unstable element and wait for it to cool down into element. Rinse and repeat. Voila! Real amounts of element on non-extinction maps that do not belong to clusters.
Don't get me wrong, the process was not cheap. I believe it translated to 1000 ore to 1 element.
