Is there a list of dino's that can dismount players?
I am a time traveler coming from a past where the "TCL" update did not exist yet. Now everything is different and way more awesome than before! But I am getting constantly getting dismounted by raptors, kapros, ect.

Is there a list of dino's to watch out for? Or maybe a secret technique to avoid being dismounted?
All help and advice is welcome. ;)

I don't know if there is a list but some of them are: purlovia, microraptors, cnideria, as well as, the ones you mentioned.

Any way to avoid getting dismounted? I've been dismounted so many times and almost died, it's getting scary

The only way I know of is that cnideria can't dismount you on a basilosaurus. Oh, also, thylacoleo won't dismount you from a flyer if you fly above the tree line. You can try to pull purlovias out of their holes with other tames that you whistle to attack but that doesn't always pull them out. I have read that you can avoid being grabbed by a tuso by bringing a tame that you don't care about along for them to grab.

And for raptors just ride something big enough or bola them before they get too close.

If you are perusing the jungles on foot where there is lots of raptors etc. I would suggest level your health to like 400 and wear flak armor. They won't do any damage to you then and after the few seconds of them tickling you on the ground you can just wait for your mount to clean them up. Just remember to keep it on neutral.

Either that or just grab a wyvern or spino and nothing will dismount/aggro you again. But there's no fun in that right? lol

Oh and I just got dismounted/carried away by a crab in the red zone on Val too so they can also do it if you're on a small mount like a deinonychus. It's handy to carry a grappling hook because that's how I got out of its claws and zipped away like batman.

Whenever i encounter raptor i always just spam the spacebar i heard that they added a way to roll away when they pounce on you also a Megalosaurus can grab you and your mount i had that happen to me on the island when i was exploring a cave at night

I still get dismounted a lot, but thankfully my baryonyx seems to be able to kill them while they chow down on me. Seems like a fair trade lol

stegosaurus with the "guard mode" protects u from being unmounted and damaged . He takes the hits.

Carry a really really high level shoulder pet, set on attack everything. My go to is a dimorphodon, the little skull faced fliers. It won't keep you from keeping getting dismounted, but on many occasions it will simply _eat_ the enemy.

I have a ridiculously high level one I named "shoulder mounted chainsaw". I got knocked off my argentavis by a thylacoleo once. Landed on the ground, no thyla anywhere. I was really confused until I found the thyla claw inside the inventory of the Dimorphadon. It had killed and eaten the thyla. Good little dimporph, good boy.

Another thing the prevents you from be dismounted is riding around on a stegosaurus. That will even prevent you from being snatched up by the webs strands of a bloodstalker.
