Valguero crash

Why will my Valguero not load, i get this crash message, but the path it shows for attempting to load bulk data, does not exist in my files. it says its downloaded and in my library, it shows up in my server list and on single player, loads all mods just fine, but crashes when attempting to load the map. any help would be appreciated

I would verify the integrity of game files. It sounds like some files failed to download/unpack correctly if it's trying to load files that don't exist.

If that doesn't work you might have to uninstall Valguero and reinstall it.

The reverse of how you installed it... Untick the box. Restart steam. Tick it again.

But just to confirm... You're using dlc valguero right? Not the older mod version of the map?

You will need to right-click the game in your library and go to Properties to find the DLC menu to uncheck it.

Are you running ark on a gaming pc? Are you using Nvidia Geforce Experience if you have a nvidia graphic card to optimize game? Turn down terrain shadows after optimized.

Are you on a metered connection? Do you have metered turned on thus Windows 10 has not been able to push it's latest updates at you? Shut metered off if so and let Win10 update.

DO NOT SKIP ANY STEPS --

* Unsub to mods you do not want Steam workshop
* Close Steam
* Delete your \steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Content\Mods folder
* Delete your \steamapps\workshop\content\346110 folder
* Restart pc
* Launch Steam, right-click ark select Properties, select Local files click Verify Integrity
* Wait till done enter game see if that helped

yeah unchecked, restarted steam, rechecked, redownloaded. everything loaded just fine thanks for the assist. Now i just fall through all the ground to the water under the map

Can you use the fly command to fly back up?
If not, kill yourself and respawn.

What speed is your internet? Do you have a good wifi connection? Or are using a Cat5 or Cat6 ethernet cord.

Valguero map should be solid with no pits but you might have found one. My owl gets stuck but not my argie next to some mountains.

Is server lag bad right now? Are you stuck in the mesh of one of your pets?

I assumed you are on a multiplayer sorry if single player missed that info. I left SP it messes up after a while.

All single player games are subject to a corruption related to Windows background program that deletes files if they have not been accessed after a certain amount of time. Back when I played Sims if we did not open our game up for over a month we noticed files would go missing. There is no way to prevent it. Microsoft will not confess to doing it.

If SP keeping a backup of your entire game on an external hard drive (maybe cheaper flash drive if you find one big enough) save game after every play.

i have had this game for three years since it came out in beta, i have had my own server since then and logged over 4200 hours playing this game. I LOVE THIS GAME. but it has been ♥♥♥♥ since the winter event ended. i have had more crashes and problems in the past two weeks than i have the ENTIRE three years i have had this game......sorry to vent, just very frustrating. i have tried everything you guys have said and still having problems with content not working correctly.

List of things I have done

Updated my server files
Uninstalled and reinstalled entire game
Deleted and Unsubscribed to all mods and redownloaded
Verified Integrity of files (Multiple Times)
Uninstalled and reinstalled all DLC content

Island server seems to work fine, can transfer to Valguero through my cluster but there is no solid ground anywhere. die and respawn on the ground, fall through to the water underworld.
Cannot load into Valguero Server as a new character.

Think now that i will have to suffer until next major game update

What you describe is typical for ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up files, also your Crash log clearly shows that at least one Valguero File is/was broken. So open Steam Client > right click ARK > Properties > DLC > uncheck Valguero > Closing the Properties > let Steam uninstall the mod > and reinstall it the same way should usually fix the problem from the crash you posted.

If it still crashes please make sure that it is still the same Error, if you think it (the crash log) looks even the tiniest bit different please post it so someone can take a closer look at it. Else we might just have a guessing game that won't help anybody.

Have you tried to manually delete 'F:/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/ARK/ShooterGame/Content/Mods/Valguero/Assets/Environment/ChalkHills/Bushes/CaveBush/T_CaveBushB_Billboards.uasset' that file, and then reverifying via steam ? (if you still have that same error that is)

Also considering the drive letter, is this a USB disk (External) ?

I did a fresh install and this popped up when loading valguero, nothing in the mods folder, useless ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ developers, you guys should stop making games since you clearly can't fix the most simple things.

Also crappy steam for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ corrupting everything when simply downloading, old pos.

The real and only fix is not to reinstall, you uncheck the valguero map then click save/ok, let steam be slow and update, after that check it and let it install it should now be in the folder. Do the same with Ragnarok and all mod maps since you have to do everything yourself.
