Snow Owl Taming Tips?
So the other day me and my tribe (there's three including me) went to tame a snow owl on our tapejara. We weren't even in the snow globe when I (being on the back of the tapejara) got killed by those new ice dragons (I can't remember what they're called :P). We went back, got my body, and went to try again. This time, we got halfway in, then guess what happens.. I get killed again, and we're forced to abandon mission. Any tips on how to get one without getting killed by those new ice dragon things?

Avoid them like the plague, and if one does see you, run them into a mammoth and book it. As for the owls, a bola will do the trick.

Snowls...

One of the best flying tames.
One of the worst wild nightmares.

Managamr... or Foxdrakes as we call em... have the attention span of a mayfly, above hint with the mammoth should work pretty reliable!

On the other hand their nervous behavior seems to get them stuck quite often, which makes them easy tames (if you can manage to keep the unconscious body alive), which then would make a good bodyguard for further expeditions into the snow globe...

Alright, I'll tell my tribe that trying to tame one would be a better idea. :P

Also, Foxdrake is an amazing name xD

In terms of usefulness i'd definetly rate the Owl higher! It can dive like a griffon (tho not dealing damage like them), has kinda infrared vision, and the stasis field it can create around can heal other dinos (better than Daeodons IMO)...

but Foxdrakes are incredible fun to fly around with that jet-propulsion-thruster-mechanic once you get a hang of it (and leveld enought into stamina to make it fly a while without stopping to recharge)... careful tho, i just learned the hard way that they can shoot you out of a saddle with their ice breath attack!

Yeah I learned that the hard way too... And we were going to get a snow owl for easy transport, since all the argentavises were getting killed by corrupted gigas.. :P

What i did was get an argent, you get them on the edges of the city fairly easy.
Then load up the argent with a dino gate a few door frames and fence foundations, a bunch of pillars and a few ceilings.
This should allow you to make a trap and lure the owl into it (since bolla's work so great atm), the argent you can use for getting the prime if you dont have kibble, and kills wolf and other stuff.
I had no issues with the foxdrakes so far.

The door frames are for blocking of the gap between the pillars where you can run out of the trap, since the owl is slightly smaller then a argent you cant use the same trick on them to trap them.

I've been gathering the stuff for a trap, just don't know how to put it down with the foxdrakes practically everywhere on my game.

It sounds to me like your having overspawning issues with them, i do have a fair few of them spawned, but not to a point where i can not navigate the snow biome.

Might i suggest doing a wild dino wipe if that is within your ability ?

I'll let the tribe leader (He's the host) know that is a possibility.
