Ark -PreventHibernation setting?
So i recently found out somewhere is a setting called -PreventHibernation which basicly makes your single player world like a server. When its on the whole map is still active and going no matter how far or where you are. So when im at base across the entire map dinos are still roaming and getting eaten and killing. That means theres always new fresh dinos around. Im tired of flying half way across the map to see the same level 8 anky. Also when i leave base and come back 30 minutes later my forges have made no progess cause they are "hibernating". But with this on i can be on the other side of the map for however long i want and my forges will keep going. I want to know how to turn this setting on cause i dont think its an actual ingame setting it has to be done through the files? Any information would help a lot and i already know this will put a strain on performance but i have a beefy computer.

It's a launch parameter. Right click Ark. Properties. Button for launch parameters.

Things out of render still go into stasis like servers. Hibernation (like super stasis) is to let SP use less system resources.
So i just type that into the launch parameters and run the game? Will it stay on or do i have to do that every time? Also if i use this in single player it wont keep things going no matter how far they are?
Just add the launch parameter for it to work.

Far away thing still go into stasis like servers.
dam ok what about increasing that distance? like how you can increase the tether distance

That setting dosen't exist.

You could always run Ark as a dedicated LAN server with ASM...on the same pc.
