Extinction - Titan Taming Truly Temporary?
Forgive the alliteration, but do the three Titans in Extinction follow the same rules as Titanosaurs with how they are temporary tames? More to the point, does the option/command that turns off the Titanosaur's hunger-based time limit do the same thing for the Titans?

titans last like 5 days i think it what i read but if you transfer them they are like 1 hour. you will have to check

I believe that they are permant but do not regain health so they are technically half and half

They are "permanent" on singleplayer, by which I mean they don't die after 5 days like they do on Official or Unofficial. They don't get health back though so if they take enough damage, they will eventually die.

Not sure about the raid dino feeding settings though. I certainly hope that dedicated servers will have a box they can tick to keep the titans permanently, but I haven't seen anything about that just yet.

Thanks for the info, glad to hear I won't lose my future Kaiju collection every few days.
One more thing, I heard somewhere that you can only tame one Titan at a time on Singleplayer, I'm hoping that isn't the case?

Unfortunately it is, at least through legit means. You can tame Frosty, but if you want to go tame the flying manta thing, you'd have to sacrifice Frosty for it.

Edit: The above statement might not actually be the case.

That being said, there might be a way to get around that through use of summon commands, but I don't know for sure. It will be worth trying out though.

Thought you could get one of each type. Can anybody confirm only one can be tamed at a time? Or is it only one of the same species?

Wording is a little vague, now that I take another look at it. The line that talks about singleplayer says:

"That said, in singleplayer, they'll be a permanent tame, but you'll have to sacrifice it to summon another!"

So someone with access to the expansion would have to test and see if different Titans can be tamed at the same time. I play on console, so can't try it for myself. I'll go ahead and edit my previous comment though, since it is a little unclear.

Good on ya. If you wouldn't mind testing this when Extinction releases on console I'd be very appreciative. :)

Huh, well that's certaintly going to make fighting the Alpha King Titan a tough job, gonna have to see about making a Mek Army or something...
Thanks for all the info, it is really appreciated.
Teahl Nov 13, 2018 @ 9:42am
You have to control the Mek so you can't precisely make an army out of them, unless you have players to control each.
Only one of each TYPE of titan can be summoned, at least on SP unless it's been changed. so you can have a set of the elements, but not 2 of the same titan (ie: 2 desert titans, etc). YT felons tried spawning multiple of each and it just respawned a new of the same titan every time, the one before it vanished out of existence.

I was worried the titans would die on SP too so this is really great to know! I'm hoping for a mod to pop up that will allow modded worlds to keep their titans, or even multiple for each person, having an army of Manticores is actually pretty fun (not for the computer itself tho, lol)
