Post where you found resources on Extinction here
Put this up as a info thread where people could post resource locations for the new map. Please do not post creatures. Separate thread for that.

Dont know a spot of good amounts of it, but I got my first node at a river about 56, 37. Seems scarce early on, but you do start to see it scattered about in the wastelands and in the snow dome.

Anyone any idea on Bio toxin?

Bio toxin seems to be the big mystery right now. Has anyone confirmed they can even be gotten from gachas, and if so what do you feed the gacha to get it?

@boomer Feeding gachas different foods does not change what they produce,

When you first tame one it will have 5 different materials,

If you dont need any of the materials you have 2 choices use it to produce equipment or kill it and tame another and prey to the rng gods.

According to the wiki no one has gotten bio-toxin on the map from any source yet.

Honestly the only method i can see is if people add it in using the game.ini,

Or maybe some of the bigger corrupt give it like how the corrupt spinos, trex ect can give black perals, leech blood, angeler gel ect.
(can totaly see the devs doing a troll move like making only corrupt gigas or reapers give it)

Edit: Well i found some reddit posts where people claim what i mentioned above is correct that you can get 5ish or so at a time from corrupt trexs, spinos, gigas, reapers.

Good to know about the gachas. I have honestly been avoiding playing Extinction yet so far for the most part even though I have it. I was very busy with work last week and only had time to make a small starter base in the sanctuary. I had planned to play more this past weekend, but when I saw the legion of posts about losing bases after the patch, I decided it was probably best to hold off until they get it sorted. Sounds like taming gachas is a fun new sort of lottery where if you lose, the gacha dies.

There's oil stones in the Sulfur Fields but there's tons of bad stuff and also extremely high temperatures around. And I found some obsidian in the Sunken Forest.

I've got small amounts of bio toxin from wasteland raids. So little it's not worth noting until I get more data
Silicate is used the same as silica pearls.
Salt is in the sulfur fields as well as sulfur and oil.

I've found obsidian in the crevasse in the city and by the Green Ob.

Obsidian is all over the wasteland.
Silk from purple flowers in the desert
Sand from any rocks there as well.

Metal is everywhere.

Electronics, crystal, element dust from lamp posts same on enforcers except scrap metal and oil instead of crystal.

Pearls and Cementing paste from beaver dams. City and Sunken Forest.

Silicate = pearls

Biotoxin is a tricky one I THINK corrupted Gigas give them. I've only killed 1 corrupted Giga atm and I have 2 Biotoxin but idr if that's what I got it from (was kind of an oh ♥♥♥♥ moment when it jumped me from a cliff!)

Edit: actually I think it's corrupted reapers cause I killed one with my Lv 266 Owl and it has Biotoxin on it! So I have 4!

I actually thought they would adjust this in a patch, as it really seemed like they kinda forgot about it. Getting a few from top tier corrupted isnt going to cut it, I even have lvl40 something engrams that use it!

So while not ideal, I have added it to the dino loot table.

Silica pearl are replaced with "Silicate" that are harvestable from the blue-ish rock up north of the map. The only place ive found these are the beyond the dangerous gigas/wyvern crevas. But if you have a fast flyer with good weight, you can fly pass the corrupted dinos and the silicate place are pretty devoided of the corrupted dinos.

Unstable green gems are replacment for the green gems from Aberration and are mined from the crystals (either blue or silver) around the map.

Blue crystallized saps replaces the blue gems from Aberation and are from the white trees in the wasteland.

Red crysatalized saps replaces the red gems from Aberration and are from the red blood trees in the wasteland.

Congealed gas ball are refined from the "gas" thingy harvested from the sulfur swamp in the big yellow gas area on the map.
