-metal : about everywhere + enforcers.
-oil: enforcers
-element dust: enforcers
-obsidian: inside desert biome, along the dome on east and south side
-silica pearls: beaver dams in the city
-cementing paste : beaver dams as well
-silk: moth in desert biome.
-sand: rocks in desert biome
-polymer : the black perishable nodes from corrupted dinos.
-black pearl: corrupted rexes (not always and few like 2/3). probably giga too (cross one but couldn't kill it yet).
-cristal : everywhere
-unstable green gem: from what's look like the blue gem from aberration. except i haven't find a use for them yet (it doesn't replace the classic green in crafting pikes etc...)
-corrupted heart : corrupted rexes (always)
-gasbag blender: gasbags (always)

I love the electronics farming from enforcers, but was hoping for a way to farm element

Silicate - Northern "Blood" Cave in the north side of map. Found no use of it as of yet, though it does suggest it can be refined into Plates, but no luck at a Replicator/Indust. Forge/chem bench/grinder.

Edit: You can also get a lot of stuff from the Gacha Crystals that Gachas spit out.
Edit2 : Worth noting, different Gachas spawn different items. Dunno if its gender based or not, but I notice my Male Gacha can make Metal Ore, while the Female can make Obsidian. There's other stuff. I've seen so far... Green Gem Fragments, Sand, Clay, Thatch, Oil, Metal, Obsidian, and Raw Salt. All from Gachas eating.

They're super-easy to tame, just throw rocks at their feet in large stacks. They eat stone to make Gacha crystals, and they'll also eat metal. Havent tried gems/crystal. Metal makes the Gacha drop grow MUCH faster it looks like.

Edit 3: Ok, so its different for every Gacha, looks like. I just tamed one who can make element dust and silk.

I fed mine hide, fiber, crystal ect
Also they can produce any natural resource as far as i can tell they are the only way to get the abberation blue gems i litterly cant find any other way.

You can also use them for black perals :3

While for red gems you cut the wierd blood trees for their crystal red sap.

Anyone figured out refining scrap metal? I tried it in my industrial forge in the island but no dice

Just use a forge. You can use the scrap just like normal iron ore.
Beware: There seems to be a bug since the last mini patch. If your forge (doesn't matter if stone or industrial) does not melt the scrap just build a new one (a post patch forge so to say). This worked for me.
