Griffin vs Snow owl

Why was the griffin nerfed long ago, if you would add a creature with the abilitys of griffin + some abilitys that give it a major advantage?

Advantages the snow owl has over the griffin:
1: It can heal itself and other creatures.
2: It can wear a saddle giving it armor.
3: It has infrared vision.
4: You can breed it.

All that while having the griffins signature move, the air dive ability. At the very least release some armor saddle for the griffin So,ething like a optional saddle like the horse has.

...and the snow owl can dive-strike and dive-bomb and supports 2 riders who can both wield a weopon while riding? Then I WANT this owl!

BTW, why shouldn't there be a flyer with similar abilities than the griffin? What level is the saddle? can you ride the owl without? If no, then I suppose, the griffin is available a lot earlier.

I don't mean to say that the snow owl shouldn't exist, I want to say it would be nice if the griffin would be able to breed and get a saddle, or at least it's hp getting unnerfed.

And i don't think the owl supports two riders, but it can dive bomb, no clue if you can wield a weapon while riding, I don't have the dlc i only saw some youtube video of it.

That healing ability itself already makes the owl incredibly powerfull, and a griffin is a legendary creature and shouldn't be left in the dust by it like that.

I just saw that the owl even has a freezing effect when it does the dive bomb.

Incorrect, Griffin can have 2 riders, Nose dive can deal more damage that's 3x more effective than a snow owl, in terms of speed Griffin has the upper hand it glides farther than Snow Owl, Ground Pound can deal 2x more damage than a normal melee damage on ground or when flying but if you use its nose dive It can deal lots of damage. Which makes Griffin concentrates to more firepower.

You're pointlessly responding to a 4 year old thread. Didn't need to...

They're quite different; not really comparable beyond the fact they're both fliers with dive; they fill different niches. Griffin is faster, more melee, more HP, and doesn't need a saddle to be ridden (but doesn't get a saddle for extra armor).

Although, this thread is old, my answer was cyniical... Because the OP complained about the owl being much better than the griffin.

In truth, they both have the right to exist in its own way. The griffin is a dive-bomber and does much ground damage with it. The Owl is more an air-fighter, with the glide-ability. She doesn't have the strive-attack. (only the bomb, and that's a CC not a damage-attack...)

And as said abough, the glide of the griffin is much longer.
