where is oil and obsidian on extiction.

my anklylo has 5k hp and 400 melee at 135 (side not:even on sp mode where you get more stats per level, this seems like a bit much) and i am pretty sure i can kill some enforcers with him. i can get metal and element dust pretty well along with verything else but i need polymer and oil, where can i find oil and paste/obsidian/poly on extiction?

also how do i tame a gasbag? shot one with 122 arrows from a crossbow and hit it with a 3 clubs and nothing. it dosent give me a promte for passive tame either

Corrupted nodes drop from corrupted critters are the Extinction version of organic poly. Obsidian scattered through the north wastelands. Haven't found oil yet.

You can get oil really easy by killing enforcers. A high level raptor should do the trick.

I came here looking for help on the same issue. Can't find any oil. I really hope this is not a map without any oil nodes/rocks. That will be a major issue

found out that enforcer drop alot, my rex gets alot from each one.

Well that sucks. Oil is a natural resource that should have nodes/rocks. Major game breaker for me that. Don't want to constantly hunt dinos for oil.

I've found oil in rocks in the wastelands, I believe especially along the south. I'm yet to find obsidian, though I've been reassured it exists.

enforcer gives oil and are not that difficult to kill. in fact you can kill them up to 50/60 with 140% melee and breakable spears with hide/chitin and 500hp. you won't have many hp left but one loot enough oil to begin/craft fabricator.

as for obsidian i found some in the desert biome (south-west), at the bottom of the map all alongside the fake view dome (inside) .

There's an area I found in the south that was named something like Sludge or something, and I found a lot of oil nodes there.

Good luck lol. I spent hours searching last night. If you're looking for electronics you can get them from enforcers.

Yep, I found one or two at the mini glades on the outskirts of the city, and more down in the hidden forest.

Will do. I just explored without thinking about writing anything down last night, hindsight may have been a good idea.
