2. Fish Coel with a fishing rod and bait= chibi pets etc randomly from hauling in the fish..
I think maybe the dropping candies at birth is not in this time around
You would be thinking incorrectly then as its stated in the Community Crunch:
https://survivetheark.com/index.php?/articles.html/community-crunch-168-valentines-day-r1098/
Are you sure your not confusing it with easter, you know chocolate egss ..... ok sorry that was a lame joke :P
I have fertillized eggs coming out of my ears right now but not one single drop!
Also having a little trouble getting fishing bait on the center map...
Direbear + beehive is the way to go imo, pick 2 fish spots near beehives, and alternate between them. If you dont have a direbear, you can also just manually picks them, but you will have to stock up a bit more. This will allow you to just fish for any size, so you dont have to alternate bait etc, should be plenty of hives on the center by default to keep you going for hours on end. Apply the honey to your pole to refresh the spoil timers, is an easy way to extend the life time of honey while fishing, alowing you to not worry about how much you gather before going out to fish (its a bit cheaty but it works ;) ).
Leechblood should also be easy to get in the swamp area's, though i dont quite remember the best spots for that on the center map.
And if all else fails, tree sap is easier to manage then the above 2, its just a pain to get considering the time it takes to gather in a tree tap. And only allows you to catch the small fish, so your potentially leaving a lot of event fish behind with good chibi's ;)
Have not yet tried to get things via breeding, as im mostly interested in the chibi's atm.
But looking at the description, it says "when mating", so the act of love drops love candy id say ;)
Yes, imo the best choice if you want to grind specific chibi's, less candies etc.
For mating dinos dropping candy and chocolate, the chance of drop is when the mating percentage reaches 100%(when the fertilized egg drops or the gestation timer starts), not at birth of the baby dino. So saved eggs give you no vday items by hatching them. Also, there is no chance for v-day items with unfertilized eggs being laid.
I call BS on the 25% then. I haven't seen anything out of dozens of eggs. Where do these items go when they spawn? I have eggs being picked up by a mod so could this be why? Everything else like the wild pink colors are everywhere.
Yes, I use the hatchery to pickup fertilized eggs too, and the candy and chocolates are left on the ground and they have a short spoil timer, so they do not stay there for long. The candy is much easier to get via fishing. But getting chocolates in any real quantity is really annoying.
Also, you dont get it from the egg. It drops separately at the same time as the fertilized egg dropping.
