Stone Triangle Foundation Problem

I have a rather strange problem and want to see if anyone has any insight on it. I will try to explain as best as I can.

I am on a server trying to build a sort of tower next to my base. I have a block of 3x3 stone foundations and want to put triangle foundations around all of them to turn it into a sort of octogon shape. The problem is that I can't place a stone triangle foundation on any side of the structure. In fact I cannot place them anywhere on the map at all, even though I have done so numerous times before.
- They show as green on all sides.
- It is not near any enemy base as we are all teamed up on a private server.
- It is not near a drop, especially since it is right next to my own base.

There are a couple of odd things about it on top of this. If I try to place a wood triangle foundation it will work just fine. Also, everyone else on the server can place a stone triangle foundation in the exact places that I cannot.

This all makes no sense at all.

Okay, found a solution (sort of), it turned out that it was a version mismatch issue. My game had updated while the server had not, I could still play but for some reason it had this strange effect. Once the server updated I could place my triangle foundations again. Now the guy with a Mac on the server cannot, though. Oops. :-/
