redwood forest is deserted
Hello everyone, I was wondering if it is normal for the red forest to be deserted of animals for a long time playing? I am playing in a player, when I started playing the red forest was full of dinos, had everything, even thylas were common, today only have trees and few dinosaurs that can even count on finger, on my map thyla is extinct, and the bears only have 2 in the whole map, before they say that I do not go through a search, I go straight under the redwoods, hope a thyla attack me and nothing happens, is this normal or is it an error?

I pressume single player?

It's normal to see uneven distribution of dinosaurs.

The game can only spawn Dino's in a small radius around the player.

However, the dino cap and upper limit of all Dino's and each species occurs map wide. Even the other side of the island.

So if you as the player manage to spawn in all Dino's up to the cap in one specific region... Then you travel elsewhere... You won't have any room left to spawn more Dino's in the new area.

Fixes:

1. If you insist on staying on single player regular use of console commands to force respawn would be needed.

2. Disabling hibernation may help. Not sure to be honest.

3. Stop using single player. Get Ark server manager and create a private dedicated server instead.

can i put my world on the private server? I'm new to the game, it would be a shame to lose everything I did, thank you for your attention, I will research more videos, and if you do not find the solution, I follow your advice, have a good day and happy holidays.

Yes you can copy your world file into a dedicated server. Plenty of guides online on how to do that. Happy researching ;-)
