• There's also mods like Dino Storage that let you store dinos into items and thus, never get hurt nor starve.
You tame creatures around the map, then leave them there and go do other things and you don't want them bothered by environment things like being eaten, starving, etc after you abandoned them, out in the wild.
Maybe you should, oh, I don't know, maybe build them a pen or a hut to keep them in? Perhaps you should go out there about once a week and feed them. Perhaps you could invite them back to your home since you thought enough of them to tame them.
I sure hope you don't have a pet in real life, I would feel real bad for your dog.
Then I focused on taming whatever I could. Then I focused on building. Now I'm focusing on taming and want to breed high level dinos. I've grown an affinity to the lower tamed dino's and don't want to let them go so I want to keep them protected but too much work to do so.
So is it cheating... yes. Do I want to simply summon dinos?? no. And yes, I do have bases throughout the various environments with their respective regional dinos. This is single player and not on public.
