Missing Skins?

I reinstalled the game after a short ragequit involving smalltribes (Yeah yeah.), and like 90% of my skins are missing. Whats up with this?

The skins you unlocked are saved locally. If you uninstalled ark, you probably lost them.
Any skins that are tied to achievements should still spawn in for you though, since achievements are through steam and not just held locally.

'Cept not even my achievement skins are loading in. All I have are the default ones like the ravager saddle, and stuff like that.

Hi,

the skins tied to achievements are stored in a local file on your computer. When you deleted the game, you probably deleted this file too.

Luckily, since a patch a few months ago, Ark will scan your achievements to restore your skins. But I noticed you have to launch at least one single player session in order to have this scan occur. And you'll get your skins the next time you'll die in your multiplayer session.

If your achievement skins aren't loading in, uncheck the option to spawn in with your skins, kill yourself, recheck the option, then kill yourself again.
That should fix it.

That should fix it.

Nope, didn't work. Didn't get anything but the basic ones back. (Like ravager, bulbdog mask, etc.)

Did you read my post ? I had the same issue. I launched a single player session, created a new character, then exit. After that I launched my usual multiplayer session, died once, and all my skins were back.

Those aren't tied to achievements. The only way to get those back are to visit the notes again.

im on ps4 i lost my saved survivor on extinction after i lost all my skins first time i decided to do as many as i can again and it happened again im pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pissed ive been since beta ark and now its a full game i thought this wouldn't happen BUT NO OF COURSE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ NOT IM DONE DOING ALL THESE ACHIEVEMENT SKINS AGAIN.

To grab back the handful that are still missing, if you start a single player game and then in the console type "giveallexplorernotes" it'll hang for a minute but once it recovers you should have the corrupted ones back
