Some people cannot find our server
Me and another person in my gaming community have no trouble finding our server in the in-game search, as long as we check the right options. Others in my community claim they have the right options checked (Show password protected, Unofficial in the drop-down box) and they cannot seem to find our server. We have tried searching in Steam via View > Servers > Favorites and adding a server using the ip port trying both add this server or find servers at this address and the server cannot be found using this method. I have tried other sites that let you search for the server and clicking connect but that does not work either.

Bump for similar issue. Myself and 2 buddies are trying to play on my locally hosted server.

I and one friend can connect perfectly with no issues. The other can't see the server in the in-game browser. When he adds the server to his favorites in the Steam server browser, it sees the server as active.

When he tries to connect from Steam, it goes into Ark and asks him for the server password. It looks like it's going to connect, then it says "Unable to query server info for invite." Strange it prompts him for the password. So, I know it's connecting at least...

The server is on a fresh Windows 7 (custom, slim) install from 4 days ago, and only has 3 other server programs installed. They're not running at the same time, of course, only the one we're playing at the time. I've cleared all previous ISP DNS information, reset all routers and applied all port forwarding rules to said routers. I even tried DMZing the server computer, to no avail...

Possibly related to ports and plug 'n play functionality with your router & computer.

It's possible. I don't see why it would allow one person to connect and not another, though.

If they use webroot antivirus uninstall it

Also make sure they have the same version and mods.

Okay so first, don't DMZ your equipment. Secondly, give them a steam connect browser link directly to the IP. I find that always works if connecting/server disappearing is an issue with my dedicated even if Steam > Server View can't see it. Weird but that's why a lot of people prefer using it.

You said it's password protected? Post the IP or share it with somebody so they can poll the server.

Both friends are on PCs that I built them, only Avast antivirus.

They're both on win10, Ryzen 5 systems, one with a GTX 1070 and the other a GTX 1080, 16GB DDR4.
I am on win7, Phenom II x4 960T, GTX 1060, 16GB DDR3.
Server is on win7, FX-8350 with 16GB DDR3.

We have a Sagemcom F@st 5260 Router with ports forwarded to a Belkin N300 with ports forwarded to the server machine. YouGetSignal and CanYouSeeMe both report that 27015 and 7778 are open.

Server version is 304.45 and all 3 of our clients are 304.453. 10 minutes ago I updated the server install folder with SteamCMD. And we're not running any mods.

We already tried it with the steam://connect/ -ip- link. It launches Ark and the same scenario happens.

I'm really stumped here. One can connect but one can't? I don't think that's router issues.
