Extinction probably covers more of your wants than abberation does because it has more content and it's not like the map isn't explorable, but only the wasteland and city is unique.
Extinction does have some SE parts in it, but not that much, and while it does feature an underground aberration like area (well fertile zone like anyways). It does not have creatures you can tame from that DLC (unlike Valguero).
Aberration is simply stunning in my opinion, but with friends the content is a bit limited. So far this is the map i had the most fun on myself, but that is entirely subjective as its a personal taste.
Otherwhise as mentioned Ragnarok is the way to go.
In terms of modded i dunno, there might be more options there.
It's a beautiful map, with water in the middle and land on the outside edges (i.e., completely opposite of The Island). There are paths, which if followed, usually lead to something interesting.
Organic polymer, chitin, and sap are found as ground spawns, mostly in newbie areas (and the map is the most newbie friendly map of all I've played).
The gamepedia resource map is incomplete, which is fine. There are a lot more resources than displayed there, and it's fun trying to find to find them.
Since you specified what has the most DLC content:
Unmodded, it has some Scorched Earth resources/dinos and some wyverns.
When WC adopted the map, it removed some features that made some of its paid DLC less valuable.
If you add the mods, made by the Valguero devs:
https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=1787443195
and
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1786522940
You'll have some Aberration and Extinction content, plus the ability to make element that's the easiest of all maps. Although I'm not sure if that's only true because we have all the maps clustered.
Can I ask something about those two mods. I never installed and played the original Valguero and only installed and played it once WC made it available as part of the game's free DLC. Can I just add those two mods with that version of the map , or do I have to install the original non-WC version of the map ?
Ok thanx. I never knew about Valguero untill WC made it official. And then I heard about dinos that was removed but can be put back with mods and it all got a bit confusing to me.
Same here. I loved it from the git go, with a brand new toon, then replaced it with my main when it got to the level grinding stage.
Then I added the Valguero mods, and loved it even more.
Will defnitely check it out thanx for the info. I always liked the map but was disappointed in how empty the Abberation area is.
@OP , sorry for the hijack
As was I, but the two mods filled it out wonderfully.
