Free Private Server

A friend of mine recently bought Ark so we thought it would be fun to play together on our own private server. Is there any way we can get one for free?

If you have a spare computer, or have the hardware to both run a server and play the game, then yes you can do this for free. Un-Official servers (or private server if you will) or not overly demanding for a small group of friends. If you have a lot of RAM (16 or higher) and a decent CPU (i7 or better), you can most likely host on the same machine without to much issues.

I would look up the tool "Ark Server Manager" (ASM for short), it has good guides a clear GUI and helps you automate backups and worldsaves so you dont end up loosing your world save if something goes horrible wrong.

in fact.. you dont even need to own Ark to run an Ark server at home..... Yes... ive seen people buy Ark *For* their server box.

i have a i5 4460 and 16 gb memory ,and have hosted server from my pc while playing on it myself and 2 other people ,so you dont need a high end pc to run a ark server

Just rent a cheap server, much better than hosting it off your PC.

yea some server hosting sights are 15 ish a month and they can host it for you and it's prob cheaper then running your pc from home 24/7 and your looking at what 400+ watts 24/7 that's easy over 20 a month in elettricity why not pay for a host to run it for you and save money just a idea
