how to get rid of leeches

this is really pissing me off, i died and respawn with the leech still on me, i tried the fire thing, I tried the antidote and I am like wtf how can i get rid of this on single playuer?

Build a campfire and jump on top of it. Let it burn you for a sec. Leech is then gone. Works for me at least.

The antidote only works for swamp fever. The campfire method is the only one I know of.

Do you actually have a leech on you? the visual of a leech on your face also shows up if one of your dinos has a leech.

This. I see this all the time in singleplayer and is how I know when one of my dinosaurs is leeched.

LOL, this drove me to near rage the first time I encountered leeches. I even went so far to let myself burn to death on a campfire to no avail.

I really wish there was a better way to remove leeches from yourself than "build a campfire and stand in it". Like melee attacking with a torch or something, maybe?

On singleplayer you just open inventory and there will be a option to remove leech. The fire thing didn't work for me. You will also see a leech on your screen if one of your other dinos in your "dino train" has one on them. Same thing, open inventory on them and remove leech option. May be different online, I dont know
