How long have the pods been in the cryofridge? Is the fridge powered? I found that it takes a very long time for the charge to return, i tested tame transfering with sheep inside cryopods and they downloaded with like 6-8 days of charge left. that was a week ago, they are still charging. Its possible that the charge rate is 1-1, so if you need to charge 10 days to get full it will take 10 days....

Makes sense that it's a 1:1 charge ratio. They start with a 30 day charge. And there is the fact that most cryo pods are long-term storage. So it shouldn't be a huge issue.

little weird, can't say I've payed much attention to it, if nothing else pods are relatively cheap so if it becomes an issue with charing too slow, make a new one.

they use to be instant recharged, but i have a bunch that just wont take charge, of course cryofridge has power.

Sorry to bring back an old topic but I couldnt find a single answer. How does the charging work on cryopods because I used the slomo 100 command thinking it would speed up the charge rate but it didnt seem to. I then changed the day cycle to 1000 to speed up in game time and that did nothing.
It seems cryopods charge in real time. I dont understand that. Is there any way at all to speed up the charging of cryopods besides using a mods?

Yes sir, Cryopods charge just in real time, there`s no way to change this.

I used to play around with old real-time based games by changing the clock settings on my computer to a future time. Now... of course this isn't the best answer because if the time syncs back up or if you just want to set the time back to normal... well things can get iffy on the return end.
That being said, I am not really sure if Ark does pull from system clock but it's very possible.

Best bet is to just make a few extra cryopods if you can. If you are using one for 8 hours and charging two for 8 hours - you will always have topped up cryopods to play with because you are 'adding more time than you are removing' from your cryopod pool.
If you are storing dinos, use some of the lower timer cryopods because you know they will sit for awhile.
