How's the game with an RX 580?
As the title states. I've looked at several different videos showing this, and the quality seems pretty good. My current R7 200 series doesn't exactly run the game very well, and it's dying anyhow, so I plan on buying an RX 580, which comes to my request. Just want to see what people with the card or cards of similar power experience for themselves, though, personally. How well do you all run your game? I'm going to be pairing it with an Fx 6300 CPU which I plan on changing out in some later months, alongside the RAM and motherboard some time later, hopefully something to support a Ryzen 5 2600 with some 3200 16 GB DDR4 RAM. I also apologize for creating another one of these threads, as I see them pretty consistently. Just hoping I can get some personal insights, though.

EDIT: I should also note that all the performance tests that I've seen were over or very close to a year old as well, so I want to see how much better performance got. I understand that ARK is generally optimized for Nvidia, but the 580 is going for real cheap right now, with the new release of the RX 590.

The water does have this weird pop-in, but I know where the water is in the wastelands, and once I'm actually in the water, it renders, so I'm not too fussed, because it's not running like a slideshow.
The 580 should easily be able to handle high settings, though you should look for the 8GB models

Runs liek completel garbage better off with an hd 4400, anywya since you won't be needing the 580 mind giving it to me? I'll find some uses for it :)

580's the one I'm buying, the R7 is the one I'm losing

I plan on getting the RX 580 8GB Nitro+ edition, I'll take a look at that video, thank you very much!

EDIT: watched a bit of the video, absolutely beautiful. I think this should suffice excelently. Just hope it pairs up with the FX 6300 fine for right now, though, which means I'm also pairing it with a mere DDR3 RAM.

I may have lower standards than you, but to me, that's perfectly playable

Really, any other 580 should work, just seems to be one of the more better ones. Honestly if it can run medium or even high at 30-45 FPS, I'd be extremely happy. Think this will be an excellent upgrade and I can't wait. I've been adapted to all low settings for years now, since 2015, all low 20 FPS at most, and with this card finally dying I think I should get something...a little more powerful. I think I'm going to really enjoy this.

I would recommend stepping up your processor asap. The CPU will be a major bottleneck. I'm using a core i7 7600K, so it doesn't need to be top of the line to get workable performance

Yeah, that's my problem once I get the card, the problem is that if I want to upgrade to a good matching CPU (Ryzen 5 2600 is what I'm looking at), then I'm going to have to upgrade my motherboard and RAM as well. I'm looking at the ASRock AB350M PRO4 motherboard with some G. Skill Ripjaw V 16GB 3200 DDR4 Ram. That's going to cost a few hundred dollars in total, so I'm saving a bit for that. It should all be worth it in the end, though. I'm pretty much upgrading all of my components at that point with a few exceptions.

The difference it makes will be mind blowing

You wanna get rid of that fx6300 before getting graphics card, that thing can barely run ark.
