depends on monitor. i use 1080p monitor and run everything on epic with a gtx1070 and have no issues or lag.
i'm using:
1080p
6700k(no OC)
16ram
250ssd
1tb hdd(all games are run thru here)
gtx1070
the 1070 is just slightly better than the 1660ti so you should be able to handle mostly high settings.if you hare having lag issues it may be the server you are playing on.
I can run fine with epic graphics, my problem is the way the graphics look from far away, i dont have a big fps problem and lowering my graphics makes it look worse.
Even if you're on epic with 60 fps, it's ugly after 10 meters, especially the trees.
I also think the colors of the tree from the Halloween event make it even worse. Just disable the events to have the normal trees.
They improved the distant textures in the DLCs, it's more appealing to the eye. But there is always this weird pixel thing around pretty much everything.
Ah, i watch other people play ark and the graphics in the distance always seem to look a lot better for some reason even though their graphics are set the same as mine so i just thought something might've been messed up for me. Thanks though
