how to enable hud details

maybe this is something only on xbox but somehow while playing there i accidentally made it so all the things on my HUD had details on them telling me what they were and everything. is this possible to do on PC and how do i turn it on and off?

Not sure what you mean.... the hud is on by default in Ark.

Backspace toggles it... End toggles how close things are before you see the hud for them.

What he means is the extended details.....on PC you press H, you probably have it set to toggle, rather than hold, as I do. But just press H.......Actually, i may have re binded that key, so check your keyboard options in game, look for hud extended info, or something along those lines....see what key it is, then press that when in game.

on a side note does anyone know what the fifth icon under all the tek suit info is? thats the reason i asked this question and of course as my luck follows the tek suit, since i guess not entirely a part of the normal HUD, isnt showing extended details. i would screenshot it but fraps doesnt like ark apparently, the screenshots turn into a multicolored monstrosity and you cant see anything.

I'm not sure about that actually. Never noticed it, and can't get in to look lol.....Also, you know you can pres F12 to take a screenshot with steam, right?

i actually did not know that. i use fraps to take screen shots and obs to record, fraps for some reason chops up videos into minute long sections that are massive.
