Also all wild dinos have x5 normal stats on the server I play on (your tamed ones are normal stats, so WAY weaker)
You just have to go slower and watch out for all the dinos that steal or pull you off your mount. Shotgun to the face for any that come close.
On offical, once you have a good flyer, the game comes too easy. I did like aberration on offical until I got a good drake, then it got boring.
The devs added so many troll creatures that just ruins your day. It is hard enough to survive on the ground without these garbage design creatures that instakill you.
That sounds like pure cancer.
I do want the game to be like that, without flyers, but then you would have to remove all the troll creatures on the ground that are just there to waste your time.
Kill the micro with a melee weapon, let your mounts handle bigger things aggroing too. Where's the problem unless you're like level 10 ?
How about you just avoid them (and trees) in the few regions where they are ? There aggro range is very low...
Also i suggest using higher level mounts, there's no way even a high level thyla kills a decent level direbear in 1 sec
Always have a few backup gears for corpseruns...
It's not bad design, it's you sucking at the game
lol I die THE MOMENT I get dismounted. It is not like I have time to react or do ANYTHING.
The thyla killed me in 1 second. I was on a direbear max lvl. It didn't kill the bear, it killed ME.
The microraptor dismounted me and a terror bird killed me in 1 second.
That is trash design, not a skill issue. Good design would give me the ability to do something.
The water looked safe. Did not see the Cnidaria, while I got the shot gun out to deal with that as my direbear was stunned, a baryonyx ripped me off the Direbear, a few Electrophorus come in to join the fun with a few angler fish doing high damage. Survived, just, and the direbear was a mess, but that was insane but fun at the same time!
Or on the island where a low level troodon knocked me out but due to the high armor I was wearing, could not kill me, but keeping doing 1 point of damage and keeping me knocked out for 40 mins before it destroyed my armor and could kill me. That sucks, but you have to laugh about it.
Once you have a good base and dinos, this game is easy (even without flyers). But those insane times when everything goes wrong it what this game is about, even better if you survive it when it all goes bad. It makes a good story!
Having a lot of points in health and movement, also makes the game easy.
Now if I used 3 baryonyx instead of 1, I'd be safe from everything other than gigas.
Ground mounts are not impossible, it's definitely harder than just flying, but it's nowhere near to being impossible.
So instead of raging and calling it impossible, you should improvise, learn from your mistakes and take the loss. Losing is part of the game, there's no fun if all dinos always survive.
I mean, who needs a carrier Argent when you have 3 Fightosaurs (Baryonyx) all with 6000% melee damage and 3000 weight capacity, amirite?
lol, I can't tell if that's an attack on me or not. The baryonyx army I created was actually during the official server days, before I joined a private server (with same stats) and single player. I only bump up speed lvl up a bit more in single player though.
People seem to underestimate having a small army is actually a huge advantage, especially when the army consists of smaller dinos as they're easier to control.
