Prepping for alpha broodmother
I just started breeding rexes yesterday and my first egg hatched this morning, I got two level 85s and I was wondering if those would be boss fight material, I'm on singleplayer if that changes anything

Well, for starters. It's all about the stats, not levels. Ideally, you want to be using the dinos tamed near max level on the server. So if your server's max level is 120, you will want to look for lvl 100-120 rexes, but if it's 150, lvl 130-150. You also want to tame them through kibbles or mutton for higher level outcome as well.

What you really need for the rexes are health and melee, other stats doesn't really matter for boss fights (except for stamina if you're planning to ride one). Imprinting is also a huge gamechanger as well, so make sure you imprint the babies and try to get the best health and melee from parents. Then you simply have to level up their health and melee for not just brood, but other bosses as well.

need to get to around 25,000 to 30,000 HP & 500 - 600 Melee ( some may still die ) when done leveling incase your stats are boosted . if not those rexes will not survive at all .

I'm doing this on foot so... there is no need for this. (Sort of...)

Honestly, I'll record it and post it on steam, Idk when but, I'll post the link when I do it XD.

(My solo stats may be op-ish so...)

You really can't do broodmother without a dino as the boss itself will go after you, along with her minions. So unless you've made the stats insanely high in your single player, I don't really see how it's possible.

Well, I may bring a dino or two, but doesn't the wiki say "The Broodmother is always level 1 in singleplayer"?

Yes, it's always 1, both single and multiplayer. The stats is dependent on the boss' difficulty you pick. A gamma broodmother has 324k HP whereas alpha has 972k HP instead. However, if you have the "Single Player mode" check on, you'll do full damage to broodmother instead of like 70% less damage.

our alpha brood had 1.5m hp , spawned in so players could get the tek stuff b4 we knew it was avail on extinction . this was the code admincheat summon SpiderL_Character_BP_Hard_C .

oh funny story ( for me at least ) , we first did the gamma for the replicator . myself and another player went at it with four bred rexes , another guy went solo with a giga ( i so wanted to see it rage ) , he almost lost his giga if not for another player killing the brood on his velo .

Well, I have singleplayer setting on (aka singleplayer mode), so yeah, it will be easier, and not AS impressive. Once I finish the game, I'll do all the boss fight again, but harder, withouth singleplayer mode on etc.

I tried it, good thing I backed up my game, I died really fast, and almost got a heatattack. :2016imnotcrying:

lol, yeah, an army is pretty much mandatory for any bosses in general. The only time you can really solo a boss are the titans on Extinction map (with a fast mount). Titans don't really go after you most of the time and are easily distracted.

I'll change my idea, and maybe have a few mounts, but still go on foot.

I thought I would be fine, but after realizing how weak my rexes are I think I might just play it safe and go for the gamma, I won't get as much tek, but I'm more concerned about learning the replicator than anything else, so I think I'll be fine
