how to tame a gacha?
dropping stone and all crap in front of him does not do anything...
i am in a custom map. and dont have the 2 lattest expansions.

Is it a gacha claus by any chance? Coz otherwise, thats exactly how you tame them.

Higher tiered crafted items have great effect, I think Tek foundations are high on the list, thats a bit rich for my blood, I used a mix of metal and stone items to ok results.

oh yes its a gachaclaus. can acess inventory but cant place anything. tried coal.. then since it didnt let me put anything inside i tought i needed to tame..

i guess i figured it out.. its becouse im using charcoal.. i need to use the coal from the gifts of the raptor claus... but since raptor claus is bugged in every custom map i cant get that..

Gacha claus isnt tamable afaik. Its just part of the winter event, to exchange coal/mistletoe into holiday gifts.

i tried metal items, the tame% gain per item was trash. i tried just snow pellets and its was Many times more effective. Dododex is very wrong. VERY WRONG

Odd, I dropped 100 metal walls (in lots of 10) and I got a way better taming then snow pellets.
(To tame a gacha, not gachaclaus which is untameable)
You were using normal metal stuff, not S+ stuff or other modded items?

If you are dropping single items, then yes, snow owl pellets are the best. However they eat up to 20 at a time, and since snow owl pellets don't stack, 20 metal items are WAY better then 1 owl pellet. Drop a 100 metal pipes (Or foundations if you have the resources).

Doesn't impact the OP though, since you can't tame a GachaClaus.
