The mek
So, really a basic question for anyone who has tested this yet: can we freeze a mek into a Cryopod? I'm thinking of portability for when I need to use it as a pack mule to carry loot from OSDs back to base. So I can do the OSD on my giga, release the mek to carry everything back. I got a blueprint with 313% carry weight but only 190%melee and 240% health, so I'm really not expecting it to survive a red OSD solo.

I'm theoretically looking at 3900 carry weight in this mek, which is more than even my quetzal.

I never bothered testing with a primitive and just abandoned it after they killed any semblance of accuracy on it but apparently it's all fixed now so I'm looking forward to using this bp.
You can use a cryopod on a mek, BUT if it has a module equipped, it counts as if you took the module off and the module takes a nasty hit to its durability.
If you're just using it for transport, you probably don't need a module anyway though.

I dont see myself using the modules when most of the work I do is solo. I love the damage of the cannon, but with the small amount of health and melee damage, I have no faith in the meks ability to fight off a horde of dinos like in the OSD.

I really like the shield module, it gives your mek armor and when you turn off the shield, any enemies under it take a lot more damage per hit, it helps a lot when fighting hordes at osbs/element nodes and against titans.
But if you don't use modules, you can cryo it just like anything else.

OK, from all the YouTube I have watched, the shield looked to be pretty useless for everything except projectiles.

That means I need to consider making the shield. Cross fingers I can get my hands on a blueprint

Yea, the shield doesn't seem to actually shield you from anything... I only activate it for the damage increase.
It gives your mek passive armor like a saddle though, which is super useful.

Yeah, passive armor is good. Have you seen blueprints for these drop to see if it gives you better defense?

Yea, the best blueprint I've gotten for one is (I think) a yellow one at about 39 armor, but those things get super expensive, and I'd never dare craft one without respeccing into crafting skill to get the most out of the resources.
I think I've only gotten blueprints from titans though, never from orbital supply drops or other things.

Yeah. I'm about to do a titan run on Friday night(Australia time) anyway. Got the resources for all 3 so I may hit all 3 in the one stream session
