How Far Apart Do Gachas Need To Be?
I have a male and female. Each has a Snow Owl to feed it pellets. Just want to make sure they are far enough apart so they don't get depressed. I am going after a couple more to get all the production items I need and want them all to be happy. :)

Last i heard it's about 12-15 foundations.

Mate Boosted (1 Male 1 female) can stay together but keep additional Gacha's away from them. You can always tell when you have reached a suitable distance by looking at the Gacha's expression.

They can be right next to each other since they are male/female. Males can't be by males, females can't be by females. But you can have them in pairs. (I have six pairs in my base, they are all happy even if they eat like a black hole lol)

Otherwise yeah. 12ish foundations. Both vertical and horizontal.

Also even though you can pair them you can't triple them, for example Have 2 females very far apart with 1 male in the middle. If there are 2 close to 1 that 1 will always be unhappy.

In my rectangular barn I have a male and female in the corners about 8 blocks from each other, then clear on the other end another set of male and female also 8 blocks from each other, all are happy.

Ah so mates are okay to be close. Just keep the other singles or pairs away from them. I can't really tell by their expression. They always have the same look on their faces. :)

Thanks!

The best way to spot the sadness, is the glow on there back, when you feed them pellets there is this really bright color on there back. But if there sad you can see a more grey colored light on there back (and hardly any particles), it really stands out (they will also no longer look at you despite having ally looking on, they also make sounds to indicate there sad).

If they ever get sad, first make sure the pairs are appart enough (the 12 foundations), then simply break and redo the mateboosted buff this should reset there sadness instantly if there not to close.

(All this info is currently on the wiki, and is all correct last time i checked)

My female has a glow of yellows and reds right now. The male has some type of particle thing going on. Not a glow but like a lot of little colored orbs on his back.

After I tamed him he wouldn't look at me for a while. Guess he didn't want to leave the forest. :)

Seems like I have to be right there, wringing my hand, before they will produce crystals. If I leave base to go off on a hunt of something, when I get back there are no crystals.

No, the timer did not have time to expire.
