Another option for it would be to carry a velonasaur up to the titan with a quetz or something and then do the spin attack, not sure how that would go though, just a though.
For the forest titan, dinos seem like a bad idea to me. The trees and wyverns it spawns are pretty good at blocking me and it would be absolute hell if you were to try and bring lots of unridden dinos with you for it. I wouldn't suggest bringing anything more than a few dinos, which would have to be tough boss-rexes or gigas with nice saddles. I think it'll best not to bring dinos for it though.
For the ice titan, I've found that as long as I keep it aggrod on me, I can have any number of rexes I want biting its feet off and it just never notices as long as I keep it peppered with bullets. Gigas would also probably work.
For the most part though, I've had a great experience fighting the titans with a tek suit or mek and no/few dinos, and the damage output on these is pretty high, the forest and ice were hitting for 4000 before armor, and about 3000 through a prim saddle, so anything less than boss rexes or gigas with good saddles would likely die very quickly.
For the desert, i was also thinking about the quetzal with platform saddles and loads of velenosaurs on in turrent mode. We can also bring wyverns, is he resistant/immune to any kind of attack (fire/poison/ice/lighting)? I ask this as the menticore is immune to poison and fire, for example. To shoot, is better a 300% shotgun or a tek rifle?
We have 20k+ hp therezinos, but if you really get 3000 damage per hit even with 100+ armor saddle, then it's not worth it...
Velonasaurs can't be turrets while on a platform saddle unless they have riders, so keep that in mind.
Didn't try wyverns myself, and the desert titan did way less damage than the others and also has less hp. If you can get wyverns together for this, they should perform very well. I've seen someone say lightning works fine, no idea about fire/poison nullifications though.
Thing about shotguns is that you have to get up close to the titan. This is annoying because it flies and if you land on its back, it'll do a barrel roll to both damage you and send you flying (falling) If you're hovering under it, it'll hit you with the flock which has extreme knockback to send you way down.
I liked the tek rifle for this, we went through about 3 rifles or durability iirc and used about 125 element between rifles and jetpack. For the other 2 titans, shotgun would be pretty easy to use comparatively but I've never tried but judging from what I've seen from titans' resistance to bullets and tek rifles, I think the shotgun would do better if you could get hits with it (big "if," it may take some practive to be able to dodge the titan well.
Speaking of resistances though, the desert titan and forest titan both have signficant resistance to both bullets and tek rifles. The compound bow is ignored by the resistance. I think the ice titan had much less resistance but I'm not sure. Forest titan also had large resistance to the mek's sword but the ice titan did not... I was able to hit the ice titan for 500 dmg per hit with the mek's sword (my luck to figure that out when I'm at the end of the fight...) but I've never tried fighting it with just meks though.
For your theris, they might be good if you were to also give them cakes. As I said, the titan seems to mostly target players as long as we keep shooting it, so as long as you don't overdo it with dinos, a few theris would probably help.
